Expressing gratitude is a powerful way to recognize the efforts and impact of those who make a difference. Today, we focus on a special group whose dedication and hard work often go unnoticed but whose influence shapes many lives. The SOI Motor Club , Family Motor Club Association,. They do an annual Event every year at the Santa Anita Racetrack. These are non-profit groups that came together for this event that started 45 years ago, I wasn't even in high school yet! When they first hird us, they had been doing all the cooking themselves, for 22 years.
We have had the pleasure of Catering this event for 18 years now. It begins each year on December 28th and goes through January 2nd, they build a big tent to convene in for meals, music, coffee, games..I remember the conversation with Ed, the President at the time, simply saying, we are getting too old do everything, we need a Caterer. That did not stop him from waking up at 4am to make coffee for the group, which was on average about 200 people. Ed was also President of the Optimus Club, he became a role model for me. Ed passed several years ago but always had the best attitude, he had a huge impact on my life. Throughout these 18 years, we made friends, lost friends, and had more laughs than anyone should have working. Motorhomes come from all over the United States and Canada to enjoy a little California living. They build a float at the Rose Bowl Parade, go on tours,, wineries, and of course bet on the horses at the Race Track. This is a diverse group, with one thing in common, RV's and traveling. Sometimes that is enough. We are more alike than unalike my friends.

The Lasting Impact of a Thank You
A heartfelt thank you can leave a lasting impression. It validates hard work and inspires continued effort. Over time, a culture of gratitude builds stronger connections and a more positive atmosphere.
Whether it’s a small gesture or a grand event, taking the time to honor a special group shows respect and care. It reminds everyone that their work matters. We witnessed this for 18 years, and we are TRULY GRATEFUL!
